I have been an artist my whole life and have been teaching visual arts for the past 23 years.

The first five were spent teaching junior high in Seattle and the past 18 year in NYC high schools. Currently I teach Drawing, Painting, Design & AP Art History at one of the city’s top art schools.

In addition to teaching in schools, I have been teaching neighborhood classes for the past 10 years.

I love guiding people through creative ideas, teaching skills and the satisfaction of completing a successful work of art.

My own art has been taking the form of enamel on wood, plexiglas & metal. I am interested in the dynamic relationships between the formal aspects of art and the informal world in which we live.
